# Embedded Analytics

**Embedded analytics** is an approach that enables users to access the analytical
information they need without leaving the application they are already using. In
its simplest form, embedded analytics means placing data and insights directly within
the environment where decisions are made or actions are taken.

With embedded analytics, users can monitor performance indicators without switching
to a separate reporting tool or analytics platform. Charts, dashboards, reports,
alerts and recommendations can be placed directly inside the software being used.
This helps users evaluate information more quickly and take action from the same
screen. As a result, analysis becomes a natural part of the daily workflow.

Kodak’s Prinergy system can be used as an example of this approach. Prinergy is
a system designed to manage prepress workflows and can support processes such as
PDF creation, raster image processing and production tracking. Users may monitor
information such as ink usage, print passes and production volume within the same
workflow environment. Analytical results can therefore be evaluated inside the system
where the production process is managed.

Embedded analytics can also be used by online food ordering and delivery platforms.
For example, a platform may show restaurant owners which hours are expected to be
busiest or which products receive the most orders directly within the management
panel. Restaurant owners can monitor performance, evaluate campaign decisions and
adjust operational planning accordingly. This enables businesses to make data-driven
decisions without moving to a separate reporting platform.

Sales teams can also benefit from embedded analytics. Customer meetings, sales opportunities,
conversion rates and revenue forecasts may be visualised directly within a CRM system.
Teams can access this information through the customer management tool or business
communication platform they already use. This saves time, accelerates decision-making
and supports more efficient teamwork.

Google Analytics should be considered a web and app performance measurement service
rather than a direct embedded analytics platform. However, Google Analytics data
can be brought into other applications through APIs, connectors or custom dashboards.
In that case, users may view traffic, conversion and user behaviour data inside
another business application. Google Analytics can therefore serve as a data source
that supports embedded analytics experiences.
