# Hybrid Cloud

Hybrid cloud technology is an IT infrastructure model that enables storage and computing
resources to be delivered across both on-premises and off-premises environments.
Under this model, companies can host their workloads and [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight)
in their own [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight) centres as
well as on the infrastructure of public cloud providers.

A hybrid cloud ecosystem offers businesses a wide range of operational benefits.
In particular, it allows organisations to respond quickly to changing workloads
and evolving [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight) requirements.
By enabling on-premises and public cloud environments to operate in a synchronised
manner, hybrid cloud infrastructure accelerates [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight)
distribution, access and utilisation across the organisation.

[Data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight) stored within a hybrid cloud
environment can be protected in line with relevant security and regulatory requirements,
while businesses can also benefit from the scalability and accessibility offered
by public cloud services.

The main benefits of hybrid cloud technology include:

**Flexibility:** Companies can move workloads and [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight)
between private and public cloud environments and allocate resources according to
changing business requirements.

**Security and Compliance:** Sensitive [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight)
can be stored in a private cloud environment, while less sensitive workloads can
be transferred to the public cloud. This enables organisations to meet security,
privacy and regulatory requirements more effectively.

**Cost Efficiency:** [Data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight) that
requires a higher level of protection can be stored in a secure private environment,
while [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight) that needs to be shared
or accessed more widely can be hosted in the public cloud. This approach helps reduce
the infrastructure and resource requirements associated with [data](https://kriko.io/services/data-analysis-insight)
storage, protection and transfer.

**Data Protection and Disaster Recovery:** Hybrid cloud infrastructure provides
greater flexibility for business continuity and disaster recovery strategies. Data
can be backed up and recovered across both private and public cloud environments.

**Business Continuity:** In data-driven business processes, the hybrid cloud model
helps minimise the risk of operational disruption. In the event of a system failure,
data can be transferred to another environment or recovered quickly, allowing business
operations to continue with minimal interruption.
