HTML is used to create the structure and content of a page, CSS defines the visual design and styling of that content, and JavaScript manages how the page responds to user interactions. For example, opening a menu when a button is clicked, validating form fields, running product filters, triggering animations or updating content without refreshing the page can all be done with JavaScript. JavaScript was first developed in 1995 for web browsers. Today, it has become one of the core technologies behind modern websites, responsive interfaces, web applications and many digital products.
