# No-code

**No-code development** is a software development approach that enables users to
create applications and digital solutions without requiring traditional coding or
programming skills. It allows individuals without a technical background to build
functional digital products through visual tools.

Instead of writing lines of code, users develop applications through graphical interfaces,
prebuilt components and drag-and-drop tools. For this reason, no-code is also described
as a visual development approach.

Unlike traditional software development, no-code platforms allow users to perform
tasks within a visual development environment. Databases, workflows, user interfaces
and automation processes can be configured using ready-made modules.

No-code platforms can be used to create websites, mobile applications, content management
systems, internal business tools, forms and automated workflows. By automating repetitive
technical tasks, they can shorten development times and help reduce costs.

These platforms can be integrated with technologies such as artificial intelligence,
cloud services, APIs and **IoT solutions**. For example, a no-code tool may be used
to build an application that processes data collected from connected devices. However,
no-code development is not based solely on IoT technology.

No-code tools can help employees without a software development background create
simple applications and workflows without relying entirely on IT teams. However,
technical support may still be required for complex matters such as security, scalability,
integration and data governance.

No-code platforms appeal to a broad range of users, including entrepreneurs with
limited budgets, businesses seeking to launch products quickly, freelancers, professional
consultants and organisations with limited development resources.

No-code is similar to **low-code development**, but there is an important distinction
between the two approaches. No-code platforms aim to eliminate the need for coding
as much as possible, while low-code platforms allow developers to add custom code
when necessary.

Common features of no-code solutions include visual interface design, workflow creation,
reusable components, data source integration and rapid prototyping.

These tools allow organisations to create an initial version of an application quickly,
test it with users and improve it based on feedback. As a result, the **software
development process** becomes more accessible, faster and more flexible.
