SEO Manager

Remote - Full-time

As an “SEO Manager,” your responsibility is to develop, implement, and monitor effective strategies that help the brands and/or projects served by the company achieve higher rankings in organic search results.

As a successful “SEO Manager,” you will manage areas such as optimising websites based on current search engine algorithms, keeping them up to date in line with changing search engine algorithms and guidelines, and developing content strategies. You will follow search engine best practices, conduct keyword research, analyse competitors, and define strategies for targeted keywords.

The “SEO Manager” works collaboratively with the content team, developers, and other marketing professionals to ensure that websites have an SEO-friendly structure. You will also use your reporting and analytics skills to monitor website performance, analyse traffic and conversion rates, and update and manage strategies accordingly.

To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth technical SEO knowledge, closely follow search engine optimisation trends, and possess strong analytical thinking skills. Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a team, and experience in managing projects efficiently are also essential.

Tasks

  • Managing high-volume traffic,
  • Managing teams, projects, and communications,
  • Providing recommendations on information architecture, navigation, and other technical areas to support organic growth while maintaining a strong user experience,
  • Leading all SEO initiatives and related technical requirements for the product and project development of business partners,
  • Developing large-scale systems to manage and influence core business metrics,
  • Identifying and implementing forward-looking opportunities and projects that improve SEO visibility,
  • Understanding content marketing, IT, UI/UX, and related teams, and managing processes through the most appropriate SEO practices,
  • Leading team members and providing strategic and technical recommendations and feedback,
  • Conducting industry competitor analysis and establishing systems to monitor and report competitors’ SEO performance,
  • Preparing organic traffic performance reports and delivering actionable, project-oriented insights to business partners,
  • Forecasting organic traffic and creating quarterly and annual business plans,
  • Demonstrating strong motivation and project management skills to move projects forward,
  • Using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console, making data-driven decisions, and developing and optimising strategies by monitoring conversion rates and other SEO metrics,
  • Following current trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in a constantly evolving search engine optimisation environment, and implementing them effectively,
  • Designing, developing, managing, testing, and analysing SEO projects to achieve maximum impact.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of six years of professional SEO experience,
  • A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing SEO processes and significantly improving organic search performance for online businesses,
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking strategies,
  • A passion for following developments and trends in SEO and digital marketing,
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies,
  • Experience with large-scale SEO projects, including backlinks, information architecture, local and geographic SEO, and related disciplines,
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with content, IT, UI/UX, communications, marketing, and product teams to advance SEO projects effectively,
  • Experience working with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, Semrush, Google and Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics,
  • Advanced knowledge of office software such as MS Excel, MS Word, and Google Sheets,
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS,
  • Familiarity with remote working culture and strong time management skills,
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills,
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Management Information Systems, Marketing, Engineering, or Computer Programming.
